Armed with an MBA from the University of Louisville and a multitude of media relations experience, Nicole Candler launched Nic Creative in 2006. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Nic Creative perfectly employs Nicole’s wide-range of communications expertise in strategic campaign development, media relations, fundraising, and public affairs.

Nicole received a certificate of accreditation in public relations from the Universal Accreditation Board in 2008.

As Marketing & Communications Manager for the American Cancer Society's Kentucky ACTION and Smoke Free Louisville initiatives, she led communication and media relations for special interest campaigns, helping to create smoke-free workplaces and increase the tobacco excise tax. In a fundraising and marketing role with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, she developed and coordinated special events and promotions—while also adding nearly $200,000 to the organization’s annual revenue.

Nicole earned her B.A. in public relations from Eastern Kentucky University in 2001.

Nicole also advances the public relations profession as the 2008 President of the Public Relations Society of America, Bluegrass Chapter and as an Executive Committee member of the national PRSA Independent Practitioners Alliance. She also is a member of the Kentucky Chapter of International Association of Business Communicators, Advertising Federation of Louisville, Leadership Louisville Center and Young Professionals of Louisville. She was a finalist in the Advertising Federation of Louisville’s Hot 10 Under 30 competition.
